Success Factors
When choosing a network marketing company to represent, our experience has taught us that several key items need to be in place in order to make promoting that company worthwhile. These "success factors" have come about through many experiences both good and bad. I'll list them out, and then discuss each one in greater detail.
They are: 1. Unique Consumable Products, 2. Company Track Record, 3. Company Sales History, 3. Strong Management, 4. Debt Free, 5. Manufacturing Infrastructure, 6. No Retailing, 7. Low Monthly Requirements, 8. Fair Compensation Plan, 9. No Break-aways, 10. Low Start-up Cost.
1. Unique Consumable Products: This is where your income comes from. Customers must love the products, use them up, and re-order every month.
2. Company Track Record: This requires a little research. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau. Check Dunn & Bradstreet. Make sure this company has no skeletons and has a track record of at least 5 years in business. 95% of all network marketing companies never see their fifth anniversary.
3. Sales History: Look for consistent year to year growth. A five-year-old company should be doing at least $200 million in annual sales.
4. Debt Free: A company in this industry carrying debt is destined for failure.
5. Manufacturing Infrastructure: Do they manufacture their own products? Companies that simply buy products and resell them to you are not in for the long haul.
6. No Retailing: The last thing you want to do in this business is to have to run around, selling products to people to qualify for bonuses. If you like that sort of thing, join Avon.
7.Low Monthly Requirements: Monthly purchase requirement to qualify for bonuses should be low enough that all you need to buy is products for your own consumption. Again, you don't want to have to retail any product.
8. Fair Compensation Plan: The potential for part-time and full-time income needs to be built into the plan. Remember, 90% of the people you recruit will only work 15-20 hours per week. It's important that they can earn a decent income for their effort or they will just drop out.
9. No Break-aways: These old-fashioned compensation plans make it very difficult for the part-timer to have any sustained success. Stay away from any program with a break-away comp plan.
10. Low Start-up Cost: Businesses that cost hundreds of dollars to join really limit the amount of people that will try it out.
As I mentioned earlier, these items came from lots of trial and error. Our main program, Life Force International has all these features and more.
